Paris Hilton – Sent Back To Jail Screaming and Crying

Today Paris Hilton was sent back to jail by Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer. Before her re-incarceration she will be evaluated at the downtown Twin Towers jail for a medical and psychiatric examination.

The Paris Hilton debacle started back on Sept 7th, 2007 when Miss Hilton believed her notoriety held her above the law allowing her to drive while intoxicated. The officer that stopped her for reckless driving gave her a sobriety test which she promptly failed. When Miss Hilton appeared for her hearing she pleaded no contest to reckless driving and the old softies of the judicial system never charged her with drunk driving. Her license was suspended and she was put on 36 months probation.

While on probation, Miss Hilton believing in her heart she is above the law and rules are only for bad people, was caught driving while her license was suspended. Nothing was done in that incident aside from letting her go. Miss Hilton was stopped a second time while driving on a suspended license which landed her in court, this time in front of Judge Sauer. She was sentenced to 45 days in jail, and if you ask me, I would have based it on her being a rich, spoiled brat alone.

Miss Hilton spent 3 days incarcerated and during that time developed an “unspecified” ailment. The rumor mill generated a number of speculations such as a tummy ache, a rash, and apparently she had a private psychiatrist visit her and stated she was unfit for incarceration. At this point, Sheriff Lee Baca decided he would rescind Judge Sauer’s order and release Miss Hilton from jail into the house arrest program.

Judge Sauer’s words upon hearing this were “I at no time condoned the actions of the sheriff and at no time told him I approved the actions,” Sauer said. “At no time did I approve the defendant being released from custody to her home.”

Paris Hilton cried the entire time she was in court this time, and put on a great show for her court audience as she turned to her parents behind her and mouthed “I love you” multiple times throughout the hearing. She cried herself into a trembling state that made her look as if she was about to have a Full Monty epileptic seizure.

When the judge ordered her back to jail to finish her 45 day sentence, Miss Hilton immediately screamed “MOM” and struggled against the two officers restraining her by both arms as they escorted her to an awaiting police car.

How do you feel about the way the Paris Hilton debacle has been handled?

  1. can we stop talking about her? i’m tired of seeing talentless people fill our media space with their complete dribbel. (a few of hiltons associates and friends come to mind as well)

    – to add fuel to the fire…

From the Associated Press, June 11, 2007.

    Associated Press

LOS ANGELES – Paris Hilton says she will no longer “act dumb.”

The reality TV star and relentless publicity-seeker spoke with Barbara Walters by phone Sunday, a day after releasing a statement saying she hoped the media would focus on “more important things” than her 45-day jail sentence, according to ABC News’ website.

“I used to act dumb. … That act is no longer cute,” ABC quoted Hilton as saying.

After spending three days in jail in a reckless driving case, Hilton was briefly released to home confinement Thursday for an undisclosed medical condition. An outraged judge sent her back to jail Friday. She is now housed in the medical ward of a maximum-security detention center.

According to ABC News, the call came after Hilton’s mother, Kathy, phoned Walters. During the conversation, the 26-year-old socialite called her mom on another line, found out her mother was talking to Walters, and then called Walters collect. All jail inmates are required to call collect.

Hilton has been saying that she is changed by her jailhouse experience, and she repeated that theme with Walters: “Now, I would like to make a difference. … God has given me this new chance.”

    – it’s time to turn our backs on these twits.

  2. ***Parental Warning – this comment contains objectionable language.***

Thank you for your comment Amy.

I have to agree 100%. We have a classic case of attention whore meets news creators. As long as the media can claim “absent malice” that they are innocently reporting the very definition of “news”, then we will always have this kind of tripe clogging the airwaves.

This is a perfect example of the people who call themselves the “elite” of corporate America or of Hollywood fame being “above the law” or in the case of News Media, “above the commoners.”

When there is no real news to report, journalist become “social paparazzi” in order to create news. This of course is done for two reasons. 1) To acquire fame and career advancement and 2) wealth.

I am now guilty of fueling the frenzy. My only purpose in this post was to emphasize how badly our own public protectors of peace, our law enforcement are just as susceptible to influences of the rich and famous. In the case of the officer that let Miss Hilton go after catching her the first time driving on a suspended license, hopes of getting laid.

Miss Hilton has not changed, the media has not changed and our susceptibility to the influences of fame has not changed.

From this point forward I am boycotting posts relating to people who create situations in order to get their name in the limelight.
